Nomination of the National Cryobank to the Strategic Orientation Council of the FRB

The application of the National Cryobank, member of CRB-Anim, has been selected to be part of the Strategic Orientation Council (2022-2025 mandate) of the FRB.

The governance of the FRB is interdisciplinary and multi-actor.

The Strategic Orientation Council (Cos) of the FRB brings together 245 structures (companies, trade unions, NGOs, local authorities, etc.) all concerned by the need for knowledge and research on biodiversity. These structures are grouped into 5 thematic colleges.

The aim of the Cos is to provide a link between civil society and the world of biodiversity research. It is one of the FRB's governance councils, along with the Scientific Council (SC) and the Board of Directors (BD).

Research on biodiversity for the benefit of all living beings.

The mission of the Foundation for Research on Biodiversity is to support and act with research to increase and transfer knowledge on biodiversity. It is an associate member of the National Alliance for Environmental Research (AllEnvi).

The FRB was created in 2008, following the Grenelle Environment Forum, on the initiative of the Ministries of Research and Ecology, by eight public research institutions. These have since been joined by LVMH, Ineris, the University of Montpellier and the OFB, bringing the number of founding members to 11.
